Warriors last quarter rally to take a 1-0 lead NBA Finals series
The Oracle center roared as the Golden State Warriors took the 1st game of the NBA Finals 2016. It was a close match from the start as Cleveland Cavaliers was still in pace with the Warriors on the first 3 quarters. But the fourth quarter seemed to be pulled out and unleashed the warriors power both on the offense and the defense as they took on the trio of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love to turn-overs and missed shots back and forth.
The Splash Brothers’ Steph Curry and Klay Thompson digged in a back to back 3-pointer to put the warriors on the lead with 5mins from regulation. And that pulled the trigger for the scoring warriors led by Shaun Livingston who had a high percentage of shooting near or far the perimeter and made 20 points.
Warriors defense
Tough defense was applied to Cavaliers led by 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala, Draymond Green and the triple B’s, Barbosa, Bogut and Barnes.
Golden State Warriors leader Stephen Curry had a little bit of bad start on the 1st quarter but things went well on the 3 point area later on the 2nd half that contributed to GSW comfortable lead. Before closing the 4th quarter, Curry was given a break by coach Steve Kerr.
The final score : GSW 104 – CLE 89
Game 2 on Sunday June 5 , 8PM EST
